Are you Aware of Anti Aging Research Reports?

Do you take any notice of the anti aging reports that fill the tabloids and the newspaper stand magazines?  Do these types of headlines catch your eye, or are you more interested in the ones that claim to give you the scoop on what the latest Hollywood couples are up to?  Often the difference in what magazine headline grabs your attention as you stand in line at the checkout is related to your age.  Women of a certain age who are already starting to notice a few lines appearing on their faces, where once they were completely smooth, are more likely to pick up a magazine that proclaims it holds the secret to eternal youth, than a teenager who is battling acne rather than wrinkles.

While many of the headlines in these magazines lead to anti aging information that’s neither new or revolutionary, there are some studies that have been released that can help you to improve the appearance of your skin so that it has a younger, healthier glow.  What you have to make sure of is that you are reading a report about current research findings, and not just a biased advertorial article.  The advertorial article may look like an ordinary article that gives good advice about anti aging, but it will be highlighting a specific (often very expensive) product rather like an infomercial on TV.

Previous anti aging research has shown that water has a positive effect on the skin as it hydrates and plumps up the wrinkled areas.  Other research has shown that the sun has an adverse effect on the skin and speeds up the aging process.   This means that people are more careful about exposing their skin to the sun and use high factor sun blocks when they’re outside in sunny climates as these can have an anti aging effect.  Research has also shown that smoking can speed up the skin aging process and so stopping smoking is another anti aging action that smokers can take to try and reverse the aging effects of their smoking habit.

More recent research in anti aging has revealed that the environment around you can have an adverse effect on your skin.  Pollution and chemicals that are floating in the air come to rest on the skin and create an aging effect.  Although there’s not much you can do about the air quality around you, what you can do is to ensure that you use a good cream to act as a barrier against anything that’s harmful in the air.

The more research that is done on health and nutrition, the more you hear about how certain foods can help promote wellness, and can help to slow down the aging process.  The healthier lifestyle you have, the younger you will both feel and look.  By learning how to read a nutrition label and cutting such things as trans fats out of your diet, your body will become healthier, and this will start to show outside on your face, as well as inside in how you feel.  Add some regular exercise to your healthy eating, and as the magazine reports will tell you, you’ll start to look years younger.

Anti aging reports appear regularly.  Read what’s available to keep up with current trends and ideas, but make sure you read real articles based on current research, rather than an advertorial type of article paid for by an expensive brand of skincare.  Not all the research on anti aging involves expenses treatments; sometimes it’s as simple as wearing protection against the natural elements.
